The Liturgical Homestead was created to help record our family’s journey of integrating our Catholic faith and homesteading, and to recover a lost way of living.

Our Family Mission Statement

“We strive to build family and community, observe Catholic liturgy, and practice historical customs in order to orient ourselves towards God’s will.”

The Blog

The blog is intended to help me clarify my thoughts on what it means to live liturgically and maybe share and inspire others with our “discoveries.”

Who are We?

We are Christians of the Roman Catholic tradition. A family of 10: Mom, Dad, 5 boys and 3 girls, though not in that order. Homesteaders for nearly a decade, practicing Catholics for about as long. In recent years, we’ve begun to integrate the two. We homeschool, have a small business, and Dad works a full-time job away from home.
